Artist's Statement
I love working outside, experiencing the unique quality of light, air, earth
and plant life at a particular time. Absorbing the landscape, I attempt
to paint the sensual reality and, more importantly, the reality of my feeling:
how the landscape lives within me. Painting/drawing with pastel is a continuing
revelation (to myself) of the natural world and my loving response to it.
